Dear fellow workers,
Here’s the first issue of Solidaridad in 2009! Thanks to all the
writers, translators, and to FW Rachel Rosen of the Toronto GMB for
the layout. Distribute it in all directions, it hits the streets of
Mexico tomorrow.

Its under “Spanish Language” (unsurprisingly!).
Hoping to have German Language Area materials soon, and I know that there have been Polish leaflets produced as well, so please ask about and lets try and expand the non-English section.

As it says on the tin, industry specific pages have been added in response to receiving an old copy of “Healthworker” newsletter. Please send in more industry specific materials and I’ll expand the industries covered.
I’ve been adding new stuff as it comes. I’m going to start working on a new way of organising materials so that they’re easier to find. At the moment hopefully the existing categories work but if you have any suggestions, please do comment below or email me.

This is phase 1 of the BiROC library.
Phase 2 will allow for files to have more than one category - so for example a “Spanish language”, “know your rights” flier aimed at “agency workers” would appear under all three tags.
I am starting to collect images such as logos for an image library page to make it easier for us to produce our homegrown leaflets - please email them too.
Your humble librarian enjoyed the BiROC meeting on Saturday very much. Was great hearing what other branches and working groups have been up to - very inspiring and so many good ideas of useful things wobs can do. Each biroc meeting seems to be bigger and better than the last.
I hope this library site can facilitate all this activity by allowing us to easily share for instance leaflets designed for a specific industry or type of workers.
